We are a small cattery and our kittens are raised in our home underfoot and on our laps. We consistently produce National and Regional award winning cats in the Cat Fanciers Association.

In April 2004, GC, RW, NW Caricature's Colin Powell, a male Bombay-son of GC RW Caricature's Isaac Hayes, DM and CH Caricature's Jamaica Kincaid,DM (see Awards of Interest page) ended the show year as the highest scoring cat in the CFA. Colin was The Cat Fanciers Association's "2004 Cat of the Year."

Colin was invited to meet Secretary of State Colin Powell. The meeting took place at the State Department in Washington, DC on Friday, August 13, 2004. (See page "Colin in Wash D.C.")

Two Bombays became National Winners in 2004 and both were sired by Caricature's Isaac Hayes. Cats and kittens out of our breeding lines are presently being shown in multiple regions in the USA, Canada, Europe and in Japan by other breeders and exhibitors as well.

In the show season ending in April 2006, GC, NW Caricature's Marian Anderson became the first Bombay kitten to ever earn a National Win. GC, GP, NW Caricature's Huey P Newton also captured a National win in the Premier Class.

Caricature Cattery has produced more than four dozen Grand Champions and Grand Premiers to date. We have also "granded" several cats that we obtained from other catteries that were added to our breeding program as out-crosses to strengthen our bloodlines. We have also produced six female and one male DM (Distinguished Merit.) - Please see our "Awards of Interest" page on this website.

We are a CFA Cattery of Excellence - Current through Nov 2008. We maintain extraordinarly high standards in the maintenance and operation of our cattery activities and the health and welfare our our cats and kittens. You are encouraged to visit and experience this first hand.

One of Caricature Cattery's co-owners is presently serving as the President of the Bombay breed club, Bombay Enthusiasts of America. The other Caricature Cattery's co-owner, elected by our fellow CFA Bombay breeders, served three terms as the Breed Council Secretary for the Bombay in the Cat Fanciers Association representing the interests of all breeders in all matters concerning the Bombay and at meetings with the CFA Board of Directors. He has also served the CFA as the organization's Ombudsman.

We are members of the Burmese Breed Council, The Bombay Breed Council, The Bombay Enthusiasts of America, and the National Alliance of Burmese Breeders.

Robust health, friendly purrsonalities, and beauty are the common characteristics of Caricature Cattery cats and kittens.

If you are searching for a Bombay or Burmese, we encourage you to arrange a visit to catteries that interest you, as we believe it is most important to see where and how your kitten is raised. We do not ship and do not provide kittens or cats to folks that do not visit our home and feline family.

We are located in Connecticut. Please feel free to call us at 203-775-1590 or contact us by email at bombaycats@earthlink.net
